Responsibilities
- Diagnose appliance problems using appropriate testing and troubleshooting methods.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on a variety of household appliances.
- Inspect appliances to identify mechanical, electrical, and operational issues.
- Replace defective, worn, or damaged components as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance and preventive service.
- Explain appliance problems and recommended repair solutions clearly to customers.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service during service appointments.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, parts, and completed service work.
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Follow company safety procedures and applicable service standards.
- Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
- Manage assigned service calls and complete work efficiently.
- Communicate repair updates and additional service needs when necessary.
- Perform other technician and service-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous appliance repair, electrical, mechanical, or maintenance experience is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to use common hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Ability to manage multiple service calls and priorities.
- Comfortable performing physical tasks associated with appliance service.
- Valid driver's license may be required for field service work.
