Job Summary
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our busy OB/GYN practice. The CMA will support providers in delivering high-quality care to patients throughout all stages of women's health, including routine gynecological care, prenatal care, and preventive health services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
13 week contract
Pay: $22-$23/hour
Hours: 8:30am-5:00pm Monday -Frodau
Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
- Assist providers during gynecological and obstetrical exams and minor procedures.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens.
- Perform point-of-care testing, including pregnancy tests and urinalysis.
- Administer injections, vaccinations, and medications as directed.
- Educate patients regarding medications, procedures, and follow-up care.
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Schedule appointments and assist with patient referrals.
- Process prescription refill requests and provider orders.
- Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment.
QualificationsRequired
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
- BLS
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
- Previous experience in OB/GYN, or women's health
- Experience with laboratory procedures and specimen collection.
- Must be current on all vaccines (MMR, Varicella, Flu, Tdap, TB)
Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
