Confidential (Registered Users Only) is hiring Civil Engineering Interns for our 2027 Internship Program. Through the firm’s paid internship program, you will gain exposure to real-world engineering projects, tools, and processes to bridge academic knowledge with applied practice. As part of the Confidential (Registered Users Only) team, you will develop technical, professional, and collaboration skills in a culture rooted in our values: People-forward, Client-driven, and Community-centered. We offer internship opportunities both during the summer and throughout the academic year, with many interns returning for additional semesters and as full-time engineers.
As a Civil Engineering Intern, you will support one of the following practices: Water Infrastructure, Water Resources Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or Site Development. You’ll also have opportunities to work with professionals across the firm and gain insight on diverse areas of expertise and perspectives that contribute to successful project delivery for the community.
Responsibilities:
- Work on challenging projects that require collaboration within and among various departments.
- Contribute to team projects and individual tasks assigned in the discipline you support.
- Prepare project design drawings within MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
- Develop project specific detail drawings.
- Calculate project construction quantity estimates.
- Assist with technical specifications, cost estimates, reports, schedules, and other related tasks.
- Learn and adhere to client-specific standards.
- Coordinate with team members and client representatives.
- Periodic travel to project sites for field investigation and or construction support.
- Demonstrate proactive, curious, and positive attitude.
- Represent Confidential (Registered Users Only)'s values through engagement and professionalism.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Master's or Bachelor's Degree Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- Strong academic performance and interest in engineering consulting.
- Demonstrated familiarity of engineering or drafting software (Civil3D, MicroStation, GIS).
- Ability to quickly learn and apply complex systems.
- Willingness to develop in Confidential (Registered Users Only)'s values rooted in community and client-service.
