Lead Product Designer

Full TimeLocalRemote-USConfidential Company (Register)

About this role:

As a Lead Product Designer at Confidential (Registered Users Only), you'll own design for strategic initiatives within one of our product areas, building software that runs in the cab, the yard, the job site, and the dispatch floor, built with the people who use it. You'll frame the problem, design and build the experience across web and mobile, and carry it through launch and iteration with your product and engineering partners. You'll also engage directly with customers, bringing their feedback into your process throughout.

This is a remote role open to candidates residing in Canada.

You should apply if:

  • You want to impact the industries that run our world: Your efforts will result in real-world impact: helping to keep the lights on, get food into grocery stores, reduce emissions, and most importantly, ensure workers return home safely.
  • You are the architect of your own career: If you put in the work, this role won’t be your last at Confidential (Registered Users Only). We set up our employees for success and have built a culture that encourages rapid career development, countless opportunities to experiment and master your craft in a hyper growth environment.
  • You’re energized by our opportunity: The vision we have to digitize large sectors of the global economy requires your full focus and best efforts to bring forth creative, ambitious ideas for our customers.
  • You want to be with the best: At Confidential (Registered Users Only), we win together, celebrate together and support each other. You will be surrounded by a high-calibre team that will encourage you to do your best.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead large, ambiguous initiatives, from problem framing through launch and iteration.
  • Demonstrate good judgement and taste in your deliverables
  • Regularly meet and engage with our most strategic customers to bring the customer voice alongside product data into product decisions.
  • Leverage AI tools through every step of the process, defining new ways of working.
  • Stay well informed on the emerging trends, tools, and technology
  • Ship code to production across our design system, web products, and mobile apps
  • Lead through building, not politics.

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • 8+ years of product design experience designing UX/UI for web and mobile applications.
  • A portfolio with case studies that show how you approached an ambiguous, multi-part problem and what happened after you shipped. We cannot consider applications without a portfolio at this time.
  • Deep interaction and visual design skills, with the judgment to know when to use an established pattern and when to invent one.
  • AI tools in your regular design practice (e.g., Cursor, Figma Make), with shipped work you can attribute to them.
  • Experience mentoring designers, formally or informally.
  • Direct customer research experience, and comfort using it to make product decisions.
  • Experience shipping with cross-functional teams on short cycles.
