Hours: 6am to 2:30pm (Mon-Fri)
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the repair and preventative maintenance of equipment in the production facility. The qualified technician will have a strong knowledge in root-cause troubleshooting and have a desire to see a job through to completion.
Responsibilites:
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty or malfunctioning manufacturing equipment or systems.
- Monitors and ensures that the equipment is in excellent condition for operation.
- Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breakers panels.
- Connects power cables to equipment, such as electric range or motor, and installs grounding leads.
- Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on the equipment.
- Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
- Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Repair and maintain physical structure of overall establishment.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 5 years of demonstrated experience working in a Maintenance position
- Desired (not required): Technical degree with at least 4 years of experience in machine maintenance in a manufacturing environment – OR – Electronics degree with at least 2 years of experience in machine maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
- ELECTRICAL BACKGROUND IS REQUIRED
- Able to read blueprints and perform job layouts for electrical circuitry and devices.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude.
- Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Able to handle multiple tasks with capability of prioritizing and planning work activities.
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness with ability to improve and promote quality and safety.
- Must demonstrate excellent trouble shooting skills.
- Work as part of a team, as well as completes assignments independently.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends, if required
- Willingness to work overtime.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
